Finally, it’s the weekend! Do you have any special occasions to celebrate, or do you just want to indulge in some food pampering for the night? I’ll help you out with a suggestion to try Kimuraya Restaurant. This cozy Japanese eatery, nestled in the heart of Anantara Hotel Downtown, offers a delightful blend of traditional and contemporary Japanese cuisine. The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a relaxed evening with friends or a romantic dinner for two.
This is the third time we’ve headed to this restaurant for a chill night, and as always, we came home full until the next day. One reason I include this as one of our options is because of their matcha ice cream. We’ve been to Japan and tasted a few matcha ice creams in the city, and this is by far the closest I can compare. The smoothness of their matcha ice cream is a must-try.
Their pricing menu features three enticing options to cater to various preferences. The first choice offers the ultimate indulgence with unlimited sushi & sashimi, accompanied by a delightful array of mocktails, soft drinks, and caffeine-infused beverages, all for just AED 398 ($110) per person.
For those seeking a more spirited experience, the second option beckons with unlimited house beverages at AED 598 ($163).
And if you’re in the mood for something truly special, their third option awaits, boasting an exquisite selection of Japanese beer and handcrafted cocktails.
Our personal favorite is the AED 398 package, a perfect choice for me as I prefer not to indulge in alcohol and drive, particularly in the UAE.
To be honest, the list of food on their menu is quite limited, but it’s more than enough to have a taste of different types of food: appetizers, tempura, salad, single dishes, yakitori, rice & noodle soups, sashimi, maki, nigiri, sushi rolls, carpaccio, and Japanese sweets. It will definitely break your diet. One standout feature of Kimuraya is their commitment to quality ingredients. You can taste the freshness in every bite, whether you’re indulging in their sushi and sashimi platters or savoring the rich flavors of their tempura dishes.
